Halfway through staff training, and I would like to exclaim, "2010 Summer Staff is dynamite!!!". If you are a camper parent or camper reading this blog, you should know we have assembled a fantastic, caring, wonderful staff to change the lives of Sonlight campers this summer. It is always hard to compare one summer staff to another, but 2010 so far has something special...

Half the staff have arrived, the other half role into camp tomorrow! Pray for cohesion amongst the staff, patience from the directors, and a God-filled training period. Summer 2010 has arrived...

Summer plans are going well. Lots of spies, secret agents, code names, and characters. Our summer staff are slowly trickling in, with the majority of them arriving on Wednesday. Pray for rain, camp is dry and dusty.

"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." — Matthew 6:33

The great concern of our lives is not the kingdom of God but how we are going to take care of ourselves to live. Jesus reversed the order by telling us to get the right relationship with God first, maintaining it as the primary concern of our lives, and never to place our concern on taking care of the other things of life.

God is leading before us as we enter a summer of ministry and fun. Great staff coming into camp, great month of May getting lots done, and asking God to continue pouring out energy into all of us. Where did the off-season go?!?!
